Tennessee Ventures - Clarifying a complex energy advisory
Tennessee Ventures LLC is an energy markets advisory and investment firm helping clients navigate ESG, new energy risk, and enterprise risk management. The legacy site relied on dense paragraphs and long testimonials, which made it hard for visitors to quickly understand what the firm does, who it serves, and how to engage.
We repositioned the site around a sharper, more actionable narrative.
What we focused on
Value proposition:
We distilled the homepage into a single, clear promise about guiding businesses and investors through energy transformation and market risk, supported by a focused hero section and a primary “Get Started” call‑to‑action.
Service structure:
We turned abstract headings like “ESG Compliance,” “Systems,” “Markets,” and “Enterprise Risk Management” into a structured set of service pillars with plain‑language descriptions and clear outcomes.
UX & layout:
We restructured the homepage into a logical flow — value proposition → services → proof of expertise → next step — reducing cognitive load and making the journey feel intentional and easy to scan.
Social proof & credibility:
We edited lengthy testimonials into sharp, scannable quotes that emphasize leadership, commodities expertise, and risk‑management track record, and placed them strategically near calls‑to‑action.
Impact
~41%
increase in “Get Started”/contact form submissions
~24%
improvement in the average time on page
~18%
reduction in bounce rate on the homepage
The redesigned experience positions Tennessee Ventures as a boutique but deeply experienced partner, making a complex offering feel clear, credible, and easy to act on for prospective clients.
the Reason
95% businesses treat their website as
A one-time task
A cosmetic upgrade
Or a creative exercise
That mindset usually leads to one of two choices....
Choice 1
You hire a freelancer
Someone who focuses on visuals, disappears midway, or doesn’t fully understand how your business actually wins clients.
Choice 2
You talk to a fancy agency
Expensive, over-engineered, and painfully slow — with designs optimised for awards and portfolios, not your actual paying clients
We're the design partner that understands both DESIGN and BUSINESS.
That means:
We treat your website as a Business Asset
Every page, every section, every word is designed to convert visitors into leads.
We Take End-to-End Ownership
One team and one point of contact so you can focus on running your company.
We Prioritise Outcomes Over Awards
We will always measure success by your solid pipeline and not our fancy portfolio.

Cinch Traps - Modernising a century‑old DTC brand
Cinch Traps is a 100+ year–old manufacturer of mole and gopher traps. Their previous website felt cluttered and dated, with heavy blocks of text, confusing navigation, and no clear path for a first‑time homeowner to understand what the product does or which trap to buy. Important trust signals - university rankings, pest‑control reviews, “Made in USA,” and a lifetime warranty - were present but buried.
We re‑imagined the experience around one clear story: fast, reliable yard protection with the original CINCH trap.
What we focused on
Positioning & messaging:
We clarified the core promise (“protect your yard in a few simple steps”) and simplified the language so non‑technical users can understand the product at a glance.
Information architecture:
We reorganised the site into intuitive paths like “Moles vs. Gophers” and “Traps vs. Accessories,” and grouped instructions, FAQs, sizing, and “how it works” content into guided flows.
Trust & credibility:
We elevated proof points from Oregon State University and other institutions, highlighted the brand’s history since 1909, and gave the lifetime warranty and “Made in USA” identity more prominent placement.
Conversion flow:
We designed a clearer “Shop by problem” journey that reduces friction between landing on the site, identifying the right product and size, and completing the purchase on any device.
Impact
~32%
increase in product page → checkout clicks
~27%
reduction in support questions about “which trap size do I need?”
~19%
improvement in mobile conversion rate compared to the old site
The result is a modern, mobile‑first ecommerce experience that feels both heritage and high‑performing, making it easier for homeowners to trust the brand and confidently buy the right trap the first time.
